Messrs J. H. Greenwood and Hollcn were yesterday unanimously reappointed chairman "and deputy chairman respectively of the Westport Harbour Board. — Press Association.

A Melbourne Press Association cable states that the Moldavia's New Zealand passengers are Mr. Armstrong, Nurse Gillow, Mesdames Williams, Billman, Rowlands, and Foster and infant.

Mr Arthur Leaver, an old Nelsonian, and now Mayor of Westport, is spending two or three days in Nelson.

Mr W. Dougan, formerly stationmaster at Glenhope, but now; of -Taihape, is spending a holiday in Nelson.

Mr A. N. Field, of the editorial staff of the "Dominion," was an inward passenger from Wellington ,by to-day's steamer.

A .London Press cable states that Dr. Hooke has been elected President of tho Congregational Union.

A New Plymouth Press wire reports the death of Miss Carrington, who came out with her father, Mr F. A. Carrington, in the barque Brougham, arriving on February 11, IMI.

News has been received in. Wellington announcing that Mr George H. Turto'n, general manager in Australasia of tHe ' Royal Insurance Company, Ltd., who was a pasenger on the ill-fated Lusitania, has landed safely, and is now in Dublin. Mr Turton is well known in insurance circles throughout New Zealand.
