Information was received to-day that Mr Wm. Cunning-ham, formerly light-house-keeper at Port Nelson, passed away at his residence, Hill-street, Wellington, this morning, haying succumbed to pneumonia. Deceased for 38 years was in the ' service of the Marine Department-, : having • ibeen connected with various lighthouses in the Dominion. - For over six years the late Mr/Cunningham was in charge of th.e Boulder Bank, retiring from the service about four 'years ago, and taking nip his residence in Wellington. Deceased, who was born in •Glasgow, about 65 years ago, was greatly respected, and his widow and family o'f four sons and. four daughters "will have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their (bereavement. Mr S. Cunningham, of the City Council's staff, is a son of deceased, and leaves for Wellington this evening.
