Atthe same time the result of last week's inclement -weather is still being felt. With the fine -weather now prevailing, however, and (the Easter demand to cater .for, values should advance. Today's values were as follows: — For Cox Orange, >6s to 7s 6d ; Ribstones, 6s to 7s; Pomonas, 5s 6d ; cookers, 4s 3d to 4s 6d ; mediums at relative rate. Grapes, 63-d to ■Cape gooseberries, 6d per lb. —'Choice dessert peaches, 3s 6d ; prime, 2s 6d ; stewing, 2s to 2s 3d, Pears, Caps, 5s 6d to 6s; Marie Louise, 6s 6d .to 7s; Diel Vicars, 4s 6d to ss; Bosc, 5s 6d ; iColes, 6s 6d to -7s ; half cases at relative rates. • Quinces, yellow, 4s to 4s 6d. Shareholders in the Wellington Meat Export Company will shortly be called upon to decide whether the capital of the companv shall be increased to £30(0,000 by "the creation of 20,000 new shares of £5 each. Of the proposed new issue 7000 to 10,000 will be offered to settlers in the Rangitikei and Manawatu districts at a premium of 5s per share. It is proposed to offer the balance of the increased capital, including unissued and unallotted shares of the former capital, from 5000 to 8000.shares, without premium to shareholders, the offer to be open for a pe.iod of two months. The existing capital of the company is £200,000, of which £175,000 has been subscribed.
