STRANDING OF THE MARAMA
, PJUE93 ASSOCJAIIOW.; WELLINGTON, March 30. A magisterial inquiry will be held in Wellington at 2.30 p.m. to-morrow regarding the stranding of the steamer Maraira off San Francisco on January 29th. A preliminary inquiry -was held by the Sydney Navigation Department, which cabled its opinion thait there should be a magisterial inquiry in NewZealand. The vessel is due at Wellington to-morrow, and the inquiry has been arranged in consequence of _ the message from Sydney. The presiding magistrat-e will be Mr. W. G. Riddell, and the assessors Captain W. J. Reed, of Auckland, and Captain O. F. Post, of the Government steamer Tutaneltai.
