IMPERIAL CONFERENCE PROPOSAL

Fisher, Federal Premier, interviewed regarding an Imperial Conference, said that during his visit to New Zealand he found a feeling "in favour 'of holding a conference this year; but„he had not dared to criticise the action' of the British 'Government. Nothing ;had since happened to alter his previous opinion as to the utility and advantage of holding a conference during war time; but he recognised- that his first duty was to support the British 'Government in any action they deem wise in a time of stress and trial.
