"YANKEE" TOURNAMENT.
A "Yankee" tournament will be played on the Brook Club's court to-mor-row afternoon. Good entries have been received, and players are requested to be prepared to commence play at 2 o'clock sharp. The handicaps are as follow : Hamilton and Miss Turnbull 8, Hair and Miss Cock 5, Wright and Miss Coote 5, C-oote and Miss Ward scr, Date and Miss Hudson 12, Cock and Miss K. Saxon S, Robinson and Mrs Cock owe 3, Harley and Miss I. Andrew 5, Gilmour and Miss Satchell 5, Devenish and Miss Taylor scr, Davis and Miss Harkness 12, Knight and Miss Monson 8, Caradus and Miss A. Hunt 12, Townsend and Miss L. Tomlinson 5, Hurst and Miss G. Bisley 5, Waters and Miss Maginnity scr, Rout and Miss Bamford 8, Andrew and Miss M. Ward 20, Spear and Miss J. TomlinLONDON, Feb 18. The Lawn Tennis Association has decided not to challenge for the Davis Cup or hold open tournaments.
