Canterbury 6d for light-weight ; North Island 5 13-lod : ewes s^d. Lamb.—Market dull, very little business doing on account <>f high prices. The market shows signs of weakness owing to arrival of this season's Australian, which is selling' at 6|d ; Canterbury twos 6f<l : heavy-weight 6|d ; other than Canterbury 6 9-16 d for light-weight.

Beef. —Stocks of New Zealand aire light. Quotations are nominal for New Zealand hinds, fores 6fd. There is a moderate supply of chilled beef this week. Chilled hinds 6d, fores s£d. Biitter.—Market is easier. Danish, slow. 134s to 138s; Siberian, quiet, 118s to 1225: Australian, quiet. 124s to 1265; Irish creamcrv. dull, 122s to 128s; Argentine, slow,* 120s to 1245. Cheese.—Market quiet. Canadian white and coloured 75s to 76s ; English prices firm, with fair demand, 82-> to 86s. Hemp.—Market dull, with a downward tendency. There is little demand. New Zealand good-fair grade £22 10s; fair £2l : fair-current Manila £23. The outout from Manila for the week was 26.000 bales. Wheat.—Market firm, little doing ; Australian 45s c.i.f Oats.—Market firm, New Zealand Cartons 23s 6d. ex. store. Beans.—Maiket firm, with more enquiry. New Zealand beans f.a.q. The New Zealand and Australian Land company, after placing £85.000 to reserve, shows a profit of £323,202. The contingency fund is increased bv £SO, 000 and £8j202 is carried forward.
