M- Powell, chairman of the BuUer County Council aiid inen::ber of the .Buller Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, ■ was to-night selected' as a candidate lor the Buller electorate. It is .understood that Mr Hugh. Gillen, a member of the Westport Harbour Board, and prominent iii La,bour circles, will contest tho seat in tho .interests of Labour.
