ACCIDENTAL DEATH. (Uhiiid Press Association.) AUCKLAND. July 7. At- the inquest, to-day concerning the death of Thomas But hind, a workman who fell over 30ft on Alonday through the breaking of a chain by which a girder was being lifted, the Coroner found that- death was accidental, no blame being attachable to anyone.

At the inquest- into the circumstances attending the death of Peter Ewart. who was killed at Paroa sawmill en Tuesday last, a verdict was returned that the deceased met his death by being thrown away from a runaway truck on which he was acting as brakesman. POISON .SELF-ADAIINISTERED. WANGANUI, July 7. An inquest was held at Wanganui into the circumstances surrounding the death of -Sarah Mima- Smyth, who died at Petangi through poisoning. A verdict was returned that Airs Smyth's death was brought about by a dose of poison self-administered while in a state of temporary insanity. KILLED BY' FALL OF EARTH. WANGANUI, this Day. A man named AlcGowan. 65 years of age, was killed at Waitotara * yesterday by a fall of earth in a gravel pit. At an inquest a. verdict of accidental death was returned.
