A lock-out 'by the Federation of Freo Shipowners has rendered "idle 140 ships. The newspaper '.'Stnmpa" states that the shipowners have'offered the Federation of Seamen the 140 ships to "bo run on a co-operative basis. WARNING TO "SLACKERS.'/ (Received Mav 21, 10.30 -a.m.) f LONDON. May 20. The boilermakers' unions of West Scotland and South Wales have .issued' reports regretting the loss caused to employers through slackers, and warned ' members that those wasting time would be strictly dealt with >bv the union.
