ACTION BY THE GOVERNMENT. /Press Association.—uOpyright.) LONDON. May 20. At the Health Conference the Hon. T, Mackenzie delivered an address on the Workers' Homes scheme in New Zealand, detailing the scope and purpose of recent legislation. Mr Herbert Samuel, in outlining the Government's ,policy of town planning, said it must 'be made obligatory upon municipal authorities. So far 191 local authorities in Great Britain had already submitted plans for housing reforms' which would provide for 15,000,000 people when carried out. The conference included 170 overseas delegate's.
