I» the House of Commons the Health Resorts and Watering Places Bill was discussed, and, incidentally, the question of the value of advertising- The Bill empowers councils to expend the maximum of a penny of the rates on advertising attractions in their districts. Mr Herbert Samuel (Yorkshire) op posed the Bill on the grounds that if all the resorts were advertised all would be in an unaltered position.
