CONFERENCE AT WANGAXUI. (United Phesp Association.! WANGAXUI, May 4. The 7th biennial movable conference of the New Zealand branch of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows was opened here to-day, before a large attendance of brethren. The report of the Grand Master showed that the highest traditions of the order were being wcrthily sustained. the adult membership being 892.175, and at the end of 1912 the funds amounted to £16,135.353. During the year the sum of £1,101,547 was paid in sick and funeral benefits. Several vitally important questions will be discussed to-morrow. WANGAXUI, This Day. At the Oddfellows' Conference, at subcommittee was set up with a view to the settlement of the dispute, led to the secession of the Fountain Friendship Lodge, Auckland. Consideration of the report on the consolidation of sick funds was dropped, it being considered that the time was not ripe for consolidation.
