Seventv-onc French professors, journalists, authors, and artists, born 'since the Franco- Germ a n war. have- written a book entitled "The Armed Peace," urging a Franco-German rapprochement. They suggest measures to help Al-sace-and Lorraine secure local autonomy on a large basis within the German Empire, and recommend the listing of German securities on the Paris Bourse. They urge France to promote German colonial expansion in return for compensation, and also to initiate proposals at The Hague for the limitation of armaments.
