A tragedy occurred at Cado'vv station in the Forbes district. A housemaid named Jessie C-attanach shot dead the station owner, Sydney Jones, a** l kupwri sporting man and racehorse owner, and wounded herself with the gun, and then took a fatal dose_ ox strychnine. The girl's dying.depositions stated that Jones came to her room and she asked him to marry her. He refused, and she picked up a .gun..from the bed and shot him. She tried, to shoot herself, and then took poison, lhe girl had been on' the station for Li months. ~
