AUCKLAND, March 7._ At the Auckland swimming carnival the principal events resulted lis follows :
100 yards ladies' championship of Auckland: Miss D. Farquhar 1, Miss E. Ferguson 2. Time, 88 4-5. , 100 yards invitation scratch race: Hardwick (Sydney) 1, Champion 2, Sinton 3. "Won by three yards. Time, 60 3-5. An Revoir Handicap; 880 yards: Smith (Sydney), 15secs., 1; Hardwick, scr., 2; Champion, scr., 3. Won by 10 yards. Time,. 12.25. In the Wahine Handicap, of 50 yards, for ladies, Fanny Durrack won easily off scratch in 32 seconds. WAIMEA CHUB'S SPORTS. The annual meeting of the Waimea Amateur Swirrming Club was held at Appleby on Saturday. There was only jv fair attendance. The committee of the club worked hard to ensure a successful meeting, and their efforts deserved to be rewarded by a larger attendance. The swimming in most of the races was very good, there being soveral close finishes. The following are the results : 50 yards club : Ist heat: P. -Challies 1, H. Challies 2; second heat', L.
