EVERY SHOP OPENED
STATEMENT BY EMPLOYERS. (Received 9.30 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The master butchers state that every shop in the metropolitan area will be opened to-dav. It is alleged that many volunteers offered, including a number of unionist shopmen. They also claim that 5000 farmers and their sons are ready to come from the country if needed. " . ■ . ' The men deny that any unionists are returning, but a meeting will be held to-day,whereat the leaders will explain the position as far as the offer of the masters to re-engage unionists is concerned. STRONG CRITICISM. (Received 10 a.m.) SYDNEY, This Day. The Assembly debates on the'Address-•n-Reply are responsible for strong criticism of" the Government's general policy and attitude towards the strike.
