A court-martial sentenced Colonel Labrador, a Protestant, to six months', imprisonment for refusing to attend' Itess before holding a court-martial, of which Colonel Labrador himself had been previously appointed president. The sentence places the Roman Cafhoflb; Church in an dilemma, being in direct violation of its precepts forbidding -t;h£ celebration <of Mass.in the Presence of-non-Roman or ex-communi-cated persons.
