MASCOT SHOOTING CASE
STRANGE EVIDENCE IN COURT
(Phess Association. —Copyright.) SYDNEY. Dec. 22. Henry Armstrong was commit to lor trial on a charge of murdering Albert Edward '\ViL-on at Mascot «>n Wo due*, day. The evidence showed that W llson was a married man. aged 37, and a native cf Wellington, New Zealand. Mrs Armstrong gave evidence that Wilson had written letters to her threatening to shoot her and her husband nnless she did what he asked. She did not know -why. Other evidence was to the effect thatWilson told several people h» intended to fo to Armstrong's on the night of the and .-hoot Armstrong. '1 he latter was informed, and bouaht a revolver for his protection. When he opened the door Wilson pointed a revolver at Armstrong, who fired, and chased Wilson, firing three more shots. \\i!.=o n did not fire his revolver, which was r.ot loaded.
