The stock exhibition was equal 1 to the best, in the Dominion. Mr. Fare, i the fat cattle judge, expressed the opinijj ion that this section was the best south " of the Line. There was a very fine exlj hibition of sheep. *1 The following chairpionships in sheep were; awarded Liiicolns: Ram, W. Perry; ewe, A. E. Anderson. English Leicester: Ram, S. R. Lancaster; ewe, S. R. Lancaster. Border Lsicesters : Raw and ewe, J. Dowthwaite. Romney Marsh: Ra.m, Gray Bros; ewe, W. Perry. Southdowns : ißam, A. J. Stonewigg ,• ewe, Nelson Bros. Shropshires : Ram, W. Rayner; ewe, W. Rayner. In the farmers' classes : honours were divided between Shaw and Son and McKenzie Bros. In breeding classes McKenzie Bros., J. Strang, \V. H. Beetha.m, W. Peri'}', W- Howard Booth, H. R. McKenzie and Sir W, C. Buchanan divided the honours. Cattle championships: Purebred Short-' horn : Bull, Sir W. C. Buchanani; cow, vV. T. Williams. Grade Shorthorn: Bull, T. jVicLecd ; cow, J. Ruska.
