DISCUSSION BY CONGREGATIONAL CONFERENCE: (Unixed Press Association.} TIMARI", Feb. 14. . _At the Congregational Union conference to-day the Rev. D. Hand moved a resolution approving of the platform of the Bible Schools League, gratification at the favourable attitude of other churches, assuring them" of hearty cooperation, approving of a referendum, and asking the Government to provide, the machinery for one. An. amendment was moved by the Rev. J. R. Glasson as follows: "While the Union-is prepared to consider the scheme, for the introduction of Bible teaching, it unreservedly condemns the introduction of sectarian teaching by the right of entry or otherwise." The amendment was carried by 40 to 2, and then, as the, substantive motion, unanimously.
