POSITION IMPROVING NEAR GISBORNS. (Unitbd Press Association.) GISBORNE, This Day. The position regarding the bnsh firce is much easier this morning. At Matawai Sloan's sawmill was wrecked, and a good deal of valuable timber destroyed. A n»\v hall owned by Peacock and Co. at Te Karaka was destroyed. It was insured for £4CO in ihe South British office.
