AUCKLAND WHARVES IDLE
LOSS TO SHIPPING COMPANIES

AUCKLAND, Feb. 12-
As a result of the decision of the watersiders to cease work for 2A hour* in view cf the recent fatal accident, the wharves were practically idle to-day. The Northern Company's' vessels were the only steamers not affected. It is estimated that the lesses of the shipping companies concerned will amount to about £7OO in view of the overtime to be paid fcr right work a?, a result of the delay.
