STRIKE RIOTS IN VIRGINIA

At- C/aarleston, West Virginia, five perrons were killed and a score wounded' in a battle between strikers and) the authorities of the Kenawha coal area. Companies of militia fired on the strikers and wholesale riotingr followed. There was a regular pitched battle.
