Short was the principal winner, also in fat cattle and Hereford cattle. T. H. Calpman was the most successful in Ayrshires; S. R. Lancaster in Jerseys; J. Liggins in Holsteins ; S. R. Lancaster in dairy rattle. .Fat. *heep were well supported, the prizes being well In Eomnev purebreds the prizes were •divided between J. E. Hewitt, A. L. "Wheeler, J. Gray, and -W. Gibson; "Bor-der Leicesters, J. Dowthwait ; English Leicester?, S. R. Lancaster ; Southdowns, J. Knight and Nelson Bros. Tire maiden hunters' competition resulted : J. Brvee's Sliaijironk 1, L E: Burre'li's Gay Bird 2. Higii jump: E. Burreil.'s (Jay Bird (sft 6ni). "Steeplechase stvle: C. E. Levett's Reckless 1, H. FTassnll's Mickey Free 3.
