The Government's predicament owing to the shortage of money has produced a further wholesale sacking, 500 employees o* the Water' Board having been, dismissed. The Board, which expended £BO,OOO •during the past four months, has- beeninformed that £75,000 will be available for th e remaining eight months of the year. Possibly another 500 dismissals will, be ne.cessary. The employees at present total two thousand. The secretary of the Water Board Em-' ployees' Union declares that if 1000 men are dismissed it will cause a revolution. K * .
