A 1 BELIEVING OFFICER DISMISSAL. (Unjtbd Press Association.! WELLINGTON, July .11. The .Railway Appeal Board tonight considered the case of Thotras Henry Stubbs, relieving officer for the Auckland district, who appealed against his -dismissal. Appellant was acting-station master at Taupiri on May Bth and the points were' left open,, with the resa.t thatjui engine and three waggons were S.M. (president of the Bdard) considered that Stubbs was responsible as the officer in charge of the ' station, - but was not satisfied that the '- p'unisSment was commensurate with tne offence. ~*,!_' The Board considered that the case would- be met by reducing the appellant one grade (from grade eight to grade nine). They recognised that he wa3 a .capable officer.
