The Roy. J. P. Kcmpthqrnc this afternoon received a telegram from Canon Sadliei-, Bishop-elect of Nelson, jatating that lie arrived in Wellington this morning, and was leaving for Nelson by Monday's boat. Canon Sadlier stated that ho had had a splendid passatre hitherto.. Mr. Joseph Brown has been appointed a-member of the Murchison Domain Board, vice Mr. Owen Lynch, deceased. Mr. C. C. Empson, Stock Inspector,, has b«en appointed Begistrar of Brands for Nelson and Marlborough districts. Mr J. H. Fx>wler, Government Auditor for Nelson and Westland Provinces, has r?cciv(vi notice of his 'removal to* New Plymouth Province. He is expected to "take up his duties in' the North Island shortly. Mr. Fowler has proved himself a courteous and obliging officer, and while regrettincj his departure his many friends ■in this district will';p« pleased to jearh of his advancement in the service.
