For selling milk containing water,-'an addition which is prohibited under the regulations of the Food and Drugs Act, a dairyman at Maungaroa was fined 20s, with costs amounting to 255, by Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., at tipper Hutt on Wednesday. The information was laid by the Health Officer, Mr J. T. Hopkins, and the official analysis showed .. that, taken at freezing point, there was an addition of 10 per cent, of water. The cinematograph might be said to have "commenced business" in a very humble way. Even the great Edison declares that he did foresee any great commercial possibilities resulting from his invention.
