SAWMILLERS' GRIEVANCES.
"DEPUTATION TO MINISTER OF RAILWAYS. (TJnttbd Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 19. A deputation representing the fiangitikei and the West Coast (South Island) Saw-millers' Associations waited on th» Hon. A. M. Myers. Minister of Railways, this afternoon in respect to differential railway rates. The deputation complained that the millers on the Kotorua line wcr e better treated in the way of concessions than were the millers representee by the imputation, though the latter had to compete with former in the same market . The Minister admitted the force of the representations made, but pointed out that a considerable sum of money \va.« involved. The Railway P.partmt-iu war anxious to do the best it could for its customers, and th". matter would receive careful consideration.
