Mr W. H. Wickham, British Trade Commissioner, met prominent business men here to-day. and discussed trade matters with a view to obtaining information as to the source and importation of motor cars, agricultural machinery, timber, and ironmongery. Speaking of motor cars he said that the trade li<id great possibilities. The information was going to prove that English and American firms controlled the bulk of it. The Commissioner went on to Timaru.
