SECOND LARGEST ON RECORD

In connection with the acquisition by the Loval St'am Packet Company and Elder, Dempster and Company, of the ordinary shares of the Union Castle Line nf steamers, the former Company has been handed by Donald Curries a cheque for over £5,000,000. The cheque is said to be the second largest on record.
