There is much trouble in Lancashire through Greenall, president of the Lancashire and Chelshire Federation, stating that the boards would give the miners 6d a day more if the strike continues for a week. The District Wages Board? formed in the majority of the districts in South W'ales, South Yorkshire and Lancashire, agreed to independent cliairmeii, While those in North Wales, Somerset, W'tw wickshire, Northumberland, Durham, and South Derbyshire, failed to agree. The Board of Trade is nominating the chairman. Altogether there are 200,000 miners working. AN UNPLEASANT PREDICTION. APPEAL BY' MINERS. (Rec. April 9, 9 a.m ) LONDON, April 10. A mass meeting of miners passed a resolution expressing grave concern at Mr Hartshorne's prediction of a renewed struggle in May or June. They appealed to Mr Hartshorn to extricate them from the present chaos before indulging in prophecies. A meeting of miners at Barnsley demanded that Messrs Hall and Wardaivorth, Labour M.P.'s, resign the leadership. Five thousand miners at Bolton and IVesthoughton refused to resume until ,he minimum wage was fixed. Strikers, armed with pieces of timber, ittempted to prevent miners working at Joldborne.
