OBITUARY.
MR JOHN GRIFFIN.
The death is announced to-day of Mr John Griffin, a well-known and respected resident of Nelson for many years. Deceased was connected with the firm of Griffin and Sons, Ltd., up tiil about three years ago, since when he has been in business with hi 6 son - in Hardy-street. The late Mr Griffin, who was born in the Isle of Wight, came to Nels-on with hi* parents when -a child, and with them settled at Waiwero. in the Motueka district. Later on, the deceased's father started a flour mill in the city, which eventually developed into the firm of Griffin and Sons. Mr Griffin, who was twice married, had been in failing health for about 12 months, and the end came last night. He is survived by a widow and ten children.
