Juanovitch. a former Montenegrin Alinister of Foreign Affairs, who was sen. tenced to 15 years' imprisonment m October, 1907, for treason, was incarcerated in a fortress at Podgorica, his feet beinc chained. He escaped with other conspirators by digging a subterranean passage. It took them eight mouths to dispose of the earth down a dram. The escapees have reached Constantinople.
