DISASTER ON THE NILE.
FERRY STEAAIER SINKS. TWO HUNDRED BELIEVED TO BE DROWNED. (Press Association. —Copyrisht ) (Received 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, April 9. Reuter reports from Cairo, that a crowded .ferry steamer sunk on the Nile at midnight. It is believed that 200 were drowned. CAUSE OF THE DISASTER.. COLLISION WITH ANOTHER STEAAIER. (Received April 10, 9.10 a.m.) CAIRO, April 9. An excursion steamer with three hundred persons aboard collided with another steamer. The latter saved many of the excursion steamer's passengers; but many were drowned. Seventeen bodies have already been recovered. The city lias been plunged into mourning.
