Meanwhile Mazim Bev is in command. Edhem Pasha states'that 200,000 Arabs are assisting the 10,000 Turks. The Arabs are fired with implacable revenge against the Italians, and consequently few prisoners are taken. The Italian position at Tobruk is difficult, owing to the poisoning of the artesian wells.
