MOTOR CAR FATALITY AT AUCKLAND

ONE WOMAN KILLED. ANOTHER. SEBIOUSLY INJURED. (United Pkess Association.) AUCKLAND, March 8. A fatal motor car accident occurred at 5 o'clock this evening, and resulted in Mrs Prouse, of Wanganui. being killed, and Mrs Jordan, wife of Canon Jordan (Mayor of Tauranga), being seriously injured. Both ladies, who are sisters, were on a visit to relative-'. They were crossing a road at time when a motor car, driven by GarnetCampbell, came along and knocked them down, throwing Mrs .Jordan aside, and runnine over Mrs Prouse. MrsJordan sustained a broken arm, three broken ribs, and cuts on the head, besides being severelv bruised. She now lies in the hospital in a serious condition.
