MOTHER AND DAUGHTER.
REUNITED AFTER NINE YEARS. iUKiTBD Press Aisoci-noiO AUCKLAND, March 7. The American Consul states that the cabled report of the finding of the misv j n <r daughter of a Tacoma resident in Auckland is substantially correct, b«;t the names of the partes concerned is Petersen, not Kelbourne. Petersen is eighteen years of age. She communicated with him. and told her story, and he communicated with the British Consul at Tacoma, with the result that he discovered the girl's mother, and she was returned. It appears that Miss PeterBen and her father arrived in Auckland some nine or ten years ago, and Jived here under the name of Williams. H° r jather, who carried on a small photographic business, was found dead m bed early this year, and a letter found among his effects disclosed his daughter's story, and made a request that in the event of his death she should endeavour to find her mother and return to her.
