THE FLEMINGTON MEETING. (Phess Association. —Copyright.) FLEMINGTON. March 7. The Flemington meeting was continued to-day in fine weather. The following were the results : Hopeful stakes: Widgiewa 1, Blairmuunt 2, Count Traq.-.air and Aleconer, dead heat, 3. There were 15 runners. Won by half a head, two lengths separating the next two. Time 1.2 i. All Aged Stakes : Popinjay 1, Comedy King 2, Wilari 3. One other starter. Popinjay led all the way, and won Ly four lengths, a length separating second and third ; time I.4U^. Autumn Handicap : Saxonite 1, Obi 2, Flavel 3. Eight started. Obi led to the mile post, where Nolan ran to a s'x lengths' lead. Obi again took charge, and led round the turn from Flavel and Eye Glass. The latter ran to the front in the straight, but Saxoni,te spurted, and won by a. head, one and a quarter lengths seimrating the following horses. Time, 2.49 J. Flemington Stakes: Deeside 1, Black and Gold 2, Maltby 3. . There were 12 runners. Deeside was always in front. Puringa was second at two furlongs, then fell away. It was a good finish. Won by a ijeck, a head dividing second and third ; time, 1.15£. Loch Plate: Trafalgar 1, Prizefighter 2, Indiscreet 3. No others started. Trafalgar took command at the mile post, and won without effort by 1£ lengths, the third horse being 20 lengths away ; time, 3.34£. River Handicap : Masntun 1, Mari 2, Hollowness 3. \Vcm ly three lengths, with five lengths betw»-e>. the ai.d third horses. Time 3.7. DA>.NEVIRKE AUTUMN MEETING. DANNEVIRKE, Thursday. Tlie concluding day of the Dannevirko races was held to-day, the weather be- ■ ing squally. The fields were again largo, I and the attendance was a record for the second day. The sum of £9875 waa passed through the machine, making a total of £20,351 for the meeting, an increase of over £IOOO on last year, despite I one race les3 "per day this year. !
