Wharf strike affairs are quiet, and vessels are tide up as they amrive. The efxil lumpers- continue bunkering. The Cairns Co-operative Company, owners* of a. number <& small coasting vessels, has conceded the men's demands.

Efforts, are being made to secure n compromise to allow the Paloona's cargo of apples from Hobart to be unloaded for tear of spoiling them. The strikers express themselves optimistic at gaining their demands.
