It is oifieially announced that, a complete arrangvcneiit- has •been reach-d between Mi-. Lloyd George; c . haucellur of the Exchequer, and tho friendly societies over the National Insurance Bill Mr. Lkyd promising to meet the point.-; raised at the Edinburgh Congress. The a.mendments include, a. provision' Whereby smaller societies may insure each other and also a provision for reduced contributions by employers and men when the employers pay employees f i- the first six •weeks during sickness or disablement. With the view to passing the Bill this year the Government .next week will ■move a closure resolution asking the House to refer the unemployment part of the Bill to tho Grand Gcimanittee.
