At a Portsmouth picture palace, durinjr a display oi cinematographs of the naval review, a film ignited. Tao operator was unable, to extinguish it, and closed the apertures of the operating cabinet, and rushed out of the hall. A cry of "Fire" was raised, and l 2000 rushed terror stricken to the doorways. Many were crushed, and a number of women fainted. It is miraculous that no one was fatally injured.
