OVER FOUR MILLIONS. INCREASES FOR THE DEQADE. Phbss Association. —Cor2BJ««T. (Ree. 9.30 ,a.m.) MELBOURNE, Wednesday. The preliminary count of the census shows the complete population of the ■Commonwealth to be 4,449,493, compared with 3,073.504 ten year s ago. The biggest proportionate increase is in Westralia where it is 52. per cent. Other per cehtages are:—N.S. Wales 22; Queensland 21; South Australia 13; Tasmania'lG.%; Victoria 9%.
