THE DAMAGE TO THE TAKAPUNA

TOWED TO WELLINGTON. (United Pirsss Association.) WELLINGTON, Monday. The steamier Takapuna, which was disabled at Weis-tiport last week, left that port in tow of the Keimata at 10.18 last night, and berthed! at the Clyde Quay wharf at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The journey was accomplished in .good time, fine weather being experienced. The Takapuna's rudder is lashed tot the -ship, but the extent of the damage is not known. She will 1 shortly go on 'the slip for examination.
