THE RESTRICTION OE RACE DAYS. A WESTPORT PROTEST. (United Pbess Association.) WESTPOET, Monday. A meeting of the stewards of the Westport Jockey Club decided to enter a most emphatic protest to the Minister against the recommendation, of the Racing Commission to abolish the Westport Jockey Club's meeting, and also to interview t'he Minister of Internal Affair s . at Wellington, and the Minister for Public Works' (Mi- R. McKenzie) on the occasion of his forthcoming visit t-o Westport.
