.MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. A meeting of the- Children's Ward Committee was ■heildi y&slcidav afternoon. Owing to the unfavourable' weather there \va.» not a lareg ■ alien da me-?, only about a dozen members putting in an appearance. Mr C. Y. Fell occupied the chair. Mr (.!. A. Edmonds, the Treasurer, stated that the- gross amount in hand was £351 Os lid." The Hospital Board' wrote requesting the Committee to ,pay the amount in hand into the bank, so that the Government -subsidy could be applied for; and also suggesting that members of the Committee meet members* of the Boaru and consult re the site of the Children's Ward. It was rcsolvedi that a sub-committe?. consisting of Mrs Saxon. Mrs A. H. Bisley, Mrs Millington. and Miss- Atkiiuon. meet Board members. It wa,s then resolved that the crrozS amount in hand be paid into the Beard's account forthwith. There being some lists still out. it was resolved that these be requested' to be returned by June 30th, and that the collectiens close oil that data.
