A PROPOSED CONCILIATION BOARD.
OBJECTIONS BY SHIPOWNERS. (Received Juns. 19. 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, Sundav. The seamen's strike is still sporadic. Shipowners are opposing the creation of a conciliation: board, arguing that half of the trade unionists, are already absent-, • and so .unable to be consulted, and* their absence is calculated to nutundue -power in the hands of trade union leaders.
