ROD AND LINE.
EELING COMPETITION. The Nelson Anglers' Club had another handicap eeling competition in the waters of the Brook last evening, for Mr Booth's trophy (Ist prize), p.nd the President's trophy (2nd prize). The fishhook well early in the evening; but, doubtless- due to the restless crowd of youngsters behind the anglers, they were not at all eager later on. The results were'(with handicaps): C. Snow (scr), 10 Ist; Haase, .... 2nd; Shone, Hanby (7); Hoby, Gibbons (6); Hesseltine (5). After the count in the usual social gathering was held, and a pleasant time was spent. As usual, Mr A. E. Maiisford was judge and handicapber.
