FINDING OF THE INQUIRY. VARIOUS OFFICIALS PUNISHED. FINES AND DISMISSALS. (Received Jan. 26, 10.45 a.ni.J MELBOURNE Tuesday. The Richmond railway disaster inquiry has been concluded. Driver Allan was fined £3O for not sending! a fireman to the signal box when detained' .by the advanced starting signal. The fireman was fined ±JS and the guard of tihe first train was cautioned for nothaving tail lights burning. Signalman McDonald, .South. Yarra, was dismissed from the service, but recommended- for a less responsible position.! Driver Melville, <oi the second train, was dis-: missed from the service for not obeying, the signals. His fireman was- found not guilty on i) , similar charge.
